Schréder achieves EcoVadis Gold sustainability rating for the fourth consecutive year
Schréder is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Gold level in the internationally recognised EcoVadis 2025 sustainability rating for the fourth consecutive year, with a higher score of 83 out of 100, a significant increase on 2024.
This places Schréder in the top 1% of EcoVadis-rated companies in the electric lighting equipment manufacturing industry and in the top 5% of companies evaluated worldwide. It validates our commitment to sustainable lighting infrastructure and responsible manufacturing.
Each year, EcoVadis evaluates more than 150,000 organisations in over 180 countries and more than 250 industries. Based on 21 criteria, the rating assesses a company’s performance in four categories: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
Since 2020, Schréder has been actively participating in the EcoVadis assessment, achieving a steady year-on-year improvement in our rating. Moving from an initial Bronze to our fourth consecutive Gold medal in 2025, this continuous progress reflects the hard work and dedication of our teams worldwide.
Since our 2024 EcoVadis rating, we have remained committed to rigorously improving our Sustainability Management System, delivering measurable progress across all assessed categories and driving our score to its highest level yet.
We have significantly improved our environmental performance by refining our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) processes. Since 2024, our EPDs have been publicly accessible on the PEP ecopassport® portal, giving our customers verified, transparent data about the environmental impact of our lighting solutions.
By reinforcing our governance frameworks and expanding our people-focused initiatives, we have significantly improved our Ethics and Human Rights performance. This reflects our commitment to operating with transparency and respect for all stakeholders.
We made progress in sustainable procurement by working more closely with our partners to improve practices. A key milestone this past year was the launch of a comprehensive assessment of our aluminium suppliers, which evaluated their processes for reducing their carbon footprint and their commitment to climate targets.
Our 2025 EcoVadis Gold rating reflects the progress we have made in strengthening our sustainability governance, transparency, and responsible practices across Schréder. It confirms that sustainability is embedded in how we manage our business and create value, while reinforcing our credibility as a trusted partner for customers facing increasing sustainability and regulatory expectations.
With this renewed Gold rating, Schréder reaffirms its commitment to delivering measurable progress that creates long-term value for our stakeholders, our customers and the planet.
